Oman Hotel’s revenues exceed RO 60 million till April

The monthly statistical bulletin of tourism indicators issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) revealed a significant increase in the revenues of hotels with a rating of 3-5 stars by 117.5 percent until the end of last April to reach RO 60,239,000

The total number of guests at hotels rated 3-5 stars also recorded an increase of 34.7 percent to 511,429 guests until the end of last April, compared to the same period in 2021, and the occupancy rate increased to 14.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

The number of European guests recorded the largest growth in the number of inmates by 802.1 percent from 17,151 at the end of April 2021 to 154,712 at the end of April 2022, followed by Gulf inmates whose number grew by 501 percent from 5,229 at the end of April 2021 to 31,425 inmates at the end of April 2022, while the number of Omani inmates decreased by 15.1 percent from 255,708 at the end of April 2021 AD to 217,032 inmates at the end of April 2022 AD.

The number of Asian inmates also decreased by 14.4 percent, from 64,310 inmates at the end of April 2021 AD to 55,052 inmates at the end of April 2022, and the number of American inmates at the end of April 2022 reached about 18,791 registered inmates, an increase of 181.9 percent compared to the same period in In 2021, the number of inmates from the African continent reached 2,430, with a growth rate of 63.6 percent compared to April 2021.
