Muscat: The number of housing loans approved by the Oman Housing Bank during the first nine months of this year reached 3,201 housing loans with a total value exceeding OMR 130 million, distributed across the various wilayats and governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
This is the first time that Oman Housing Bank has provided this number of loans in 9 months since its establishment, in support of the bank’s developmental roles in providing subsidized housing financing to eligible citizens, in addition to accelerating the roles of citizens registered on waiting lists.
The total number of subsidized loans provided by the bank to citizens since its establishment in 1977 until the end of October 2024 amounted to about 68,979 housing loans, with a total value exceeding 1.6 billion Omani riyals. Musa bin Masoud Al Jadidi,
CEO of Oman Housing Bank, said that the bank’s growing activity, the increase in the number of subsidized housing loans, and its increased contribution to accelerating the pace of construction in the Sultanate of Oman, embody the bank’s keenness to enable citizens to obtain subsidized financing to provide suitable housing and contribute to the construction and development movement.
He added in a statement to the Oman News Agency that the Oman Housing Bank seeks to resolve all challenges that enable citizens to obtain a subsidized housing loan for those who meet the conditions and enable them to obtain their homes.
