Foreign Minister Receives Hungarian State Secretary for Environmental Affairs

Muscat:  Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, received today Dr. Anikő Raisz, State Secretary for Environmental Affairs at the Ministry of Energy of Hungary.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of water resources management, climate change, pollution control, and waste recycling. They also explored means of strengthening connectivity through expertise and knowledge exchange programmes, cooperation in international environmental forums, and the revival of several joint initiatives in these areas.

The two sides further reviewed the relations of friendship and cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and Hungary across various political, economic, and cultural fields. They commended the current level of coordination, the achievements realized, and the tangible convergence in the policies and directions of both countries in many areas.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Qatbi, Head of the International Organizations Department at the Foreign Ministry, along with a number of officials from both sides.
