Oman imposes transit passengers fee of OMR 3 from January

Transit Passengers using the Oman airport will now have to pay a fee of OMR 3.

Muscat: The new fee of OMR 3 will be levied on each transit passenger which will start from 1st of January 2021.

His Excellency Eng. Saeed bin Hamoud bin Saeed Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Civil Aviation Authority, issued a ministerial decision amending some provisions of the executive regulations of the Civil Aviation Law.

The first article of the decision stipulated that the transit passenger fee contained in Article 87 of the executive regulations of the aforementioned Civil Aviation Law be replaced by the following fee:

The second article of the decision stipulated the cancellation of all that contradicts this decision, or contravenes its provisions.

As for the third article of the decision, it stipulated that the decision should be published in the Official Gazette, and it shall be enforced as of January 1, 2021 .
