Oman In-Country Value Forum recommends adopting national ICV Strategy

Muscat: Oman In-Country Value Forum was held here today under the slogan “Productivity and Mechanisms of Achieving Balance”.

The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Said Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy.

The forum explored means of establishing new foundations for In-Country Value (ICV) programmes and specifying determinants in a bid to achieve maximum benefit in various development fields.

The forum, organized by Al Roya Newspaper, highlighted the experiences of various enterprises and companies with ICV.

Further, the National Platform for Business Accelerators 2023 was launched during the event. The platform will facilitate striking partnerships between large enterprises with promising investments in the ICV sector with small and medium enterprises (providers of services).

At the end of its deliberations, Oman In-Country Value Forum recommended adopting a national strategy for ICV. It also recommended establishing a national authority that regulates and activates ICV programmes, as well as takes necessary steps to support competitiveness.

Moreover, the forum suggested that private and public companies should set up ICV departments. These departments shall bear the responsibility of implementing plans and programmes catered to boosting the contribution of ICV to quarterly results. – ONA
