Oman Information Minister Receives H.E Karam Gabr Egyptian Head of Supreme Council for Media Regulation

Muscat: Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information, received in his office today H.E Karam Gabr, Head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR) of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The meeting dealt with the strong bonds between the Sultanate of Oman and Egypt and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.

The two sides discussed a number of media issues, including the exchange of expertise in the fields of electronic content, training and technical updates supporting modern media modes.

They also elaborated on the role of media in consolidating the Arab cultural identity, bringing up generations in accordance with authentic human values and enhancing mutual understanding among cultures.

The meeting was attended by Mohammed Said Al Balushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, Khalid Mohammed Abdul Halim Radi, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Sultanate of Oman, and officials from the Ministry of Information.
