Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran today held a talks session on areas of communications and information technology.
The Omani side was headed by Eng. Said Hamoud Al Ma’awali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, while Iranian side was led by Issa Zarepour, Minister of Information and Communications Technology in Iran.
The two sides reviewed ways of boosting bilateral relations. They discussed means of consolidating cooperation in the fields of communications and information technology in a manner that better serves their common interests and generates more benefits to the two countries’ peoples.
In particular, they sought further measures to exchange expertise in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector. The session was attended by representatives of public and private establishments concerned with ICT in both countries. – ONA
