Oman, Kazakhstan Hold Political Talks Session

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Kazakhstan held a session of political talks here today.

The session reviewed areas of bilateral cooperation in fields of economy, renewable energy, tourism and food security.

The Omani side was headed by Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, while the Kazakh side was headed by Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

During the session, the two sides exchanged views on various regional and international matters of mutual interest.

The two sides signed an agreement to establish the Joint Oman-Kazakhstan Committee, in addition to inking a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on political consultations.

The talks session was attended by Khalid Hashel Al Muselhi, Head of the Minister’s Office Department, Munthir Mahfoudh Al Manthari, Head of the International Organizations Department, Sheikh Hamad Saif Al Rawahi, Head of the International Cooperation Department, Najmedin Muhametali, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Oman and several officials from both sides. – ONA
