Oman and Kazakhstan Explore New Investment Opportunities

OIA Chairman Meets CEO of Kazakhstan Sovereign Wealth Fund

Muscat: Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (OIA), met today with Nurlan Zhakupov, CEO of Kazakhstan’s sovereign wealth fund “Samruk-Kazyna”, who is currently visiting the Sultanate of Oman.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for economic and investment cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The discussions reviewed available investment opportunities and explored possibilities for co-investing in promising projects and existing enterprises in line with the strategic priorities of both countries.

The two sides also discussed ways to strengthen partnership relations and expand areas of cooperation to serve mutual interests.

Both parties stressed the importance of continuing dialogue to open wider horizons for economic cooperation and enhance investment flows between Oman and Kazakhstan.

They noted that such cooperation would support sustainable development efforts and contribute to increasing local value addition in both economies.
