Oman maintains 73rd position in FIFA ranking

Oman national football team has maintained its 73rd ranking on FIFA rankings in the latest list of September which was released on Thursday. The Red Warriors were positioned 9th in Asian continent with 1,334 points. Oman’s monthly ranking position stayed unchanged after the international break as the team gained 2 points from Palestine friendly match, which the Oman won 2-1 in Muscat, while they suffered a 4-0 loss against the USA team in Minnesota. 

Our national team ranked 73rd globally and ninth place among the Asian continent’s teams. Our team achieved (1.92) points in the new classification, with a total of (1334.37) points. It also ranked fifth among the Gulf teams, behind Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the Emirates, and Iraq. .

In terms of the continental classification of Asian teams, Japan maintained its lead at 19th place in the world, the Iranian team was second in 21st place in the world, South Korea advanced to third place in Asia and 26th in the world, Australia fell to fourth place in 27th place in the world, Saudi Arabia came in fifth place and 57th in the world, Qatar was sixth in the world, 61st in the world, Iraq was seventh in the world, 69th in the world, and the UAE was eighth. 70 globally, and our national team is ninth, 73 globally, and Uzbekistan is tenth, 75 globally. Morocco also maintained its lead among the Arab teams, with 13 global rankings, then Tunisia, 29 globally, Algeria, 34 globally, and Egypt, 35 globally. At the global ranking level, Argentina maintained the lead position, then the French team was second, Brazil was third, and England was in third place. Fourth, Belgium fifth, Croatia sixth, Netherlands seventh, Portugal eighth, Italy ninth, and Spain tenth.

“Oman Sports” had indicated in its issue issued on Thursday, September 14, that our team had gained new points after its victory in the Palestine friendly, before losing more points after the huge loss to the American team. The newspaper confirmed in the same news that our national team maintained its classification. 73rd global and 9th Asian.
