Oman’s Maritime Security Centre urges seafarers, fishermen and vessels to exercise utmost caution after a floating object suspected to be a naval mine was sighted west of the Inshore Traffic Zone in the Strait of Hormuz within Omani territorial waters.
Oman tv said: Due to the detection of a floating object suspected to be a sea mine west of the coastal passage area in the Strait of Hormuz within Omani territorial waters, the Maritime Security Center urges all sea users, fishermen, and vessels to exercise the utmost caution and vigilance while navigating, to stay away from any suspicious objects, and to report them immediately to the competent authorities.
