Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Education, celebrated today the International Arabic Language Day, which falls on December 18 of each year. This year’s celebration comes under the slogan “The contribution of the Arabic language to human civilization and culture.”
Darwish bin Muslim Al-Kiyumi, Director of the Supervision Department of Human Sciences at the Ministry of Education, delivered a speech in which he said: The impact of the Arabic language on human civilization was profound and influential. And Muslims conveyed in their language the sciences of philosophy, medicine, engineering, mathematics and arts of all kinds, and they were not satisfied with that, but added a lot and contributed to the development of human civilization.
