Oman: Ministry of Interior inaugurates the summer program for school students

Adam: The Ministry of Interior today inaugurated the activities of the summer program for students of the governorate’s schools for the year 2022 under the slogan “Summer of Return and Creativity” with the participation of 200 male and female students and it will continue until next August 10.

The program aims to instill the concepts of pride in this country and its redeemed leader, and build a positive and balanced personality in all psychological, social, cultural, religious and value aspects. It includes the presentation of many activities, workshops, competitions, value and national programs, science and innovation programs, information technology, entertainment and sports, plastic arts and music, literature and culture, professions and entrepreneurship, heritage and tourism.

Muhammad bin Saif Al-Maawali, Director of the Department of Vocational Guidance and Student Guidance at the Ministry of Interior and Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Summer Program, said: “The program targets students from the third to eleventh grades of different categories, levels and interests, and is implemented in the governorate through 4 centers, which are Adam Center in Wilayat Adam, the Abu Saeed Al-Kadmi Center in the Wilayat of Al-Hamra, the Umm Ayman Center in the Wilayat of Izki, and the Maryah Al-Qibtia Center in the Wilayat of Samail.

He added that the summer program for school students comes as a continuation of the efforts of the Ministry of Education in presenting its educational mission and strengthening its societal roles outside the students’ actual study times, by providing educational activities in which knowledge is mixed with application and entertainment in a flexible manner in an atmosphere full of familiarity and students’ direct contribution to serving their community.
