Oman Municipal Council heads take oath in front of Minister of Interior

Muscat: The oath was taken in front of His Excellency Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior,

by: His Excellency Dr. Yahya bin Badr bin Malik Al Maawali, Governor of Al Sharqiyah South,

His Excellency Sheikh Saif bin Hamir bin Muhammad al-Shehhi, Governor of North Al Batinah

His Excellency Isa bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Azri, Governor of Al Batinah South

His Excellency Sheikh Hilal bin Saeed bin Hamdan Al Hajri, Governor of the Interior

His Excellency Sheikh Muadad bin Muhammad bin Abdullah Al Yaqoubi, Governor of Al Wusta

His Excellency Najeeb bin Ali bin Ahmed Al Rawas, Governor of Al Dhahirah

His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Ahmed bin Mashari Al Shamsi, Governor of North Sharqiyah,

and His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Ahmed bin Saud Al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi

Accordingly to Article 10 of the Municipal Council Law states: The chairman council shall swears before practicing his functions in front of the interior minister and in front of the authorized minister as fellows’ I swear by the great Allah to assume my functions and duties in the council honestly and to maintain the interests of the country and the citizens and the secrets of the Municipal council works ‘the rest of the members shall swear the same each in front of his council before assuming his functions and duties.
