Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman is participating in the activities of the Rabat International Book Fair, through a unified pavilion that includes the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, and the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, with the aim of highlighting Omani intellectual production in all its fields in various cultural events.
The Rabat International Book Fair, which runs until June 11, is a leading international platform and a distinguished cultural event that annually brings together poles of the publishing industry in the North African region.
Given the importance of the Rabat International Book Fair as one of the most prominent global publishing portals in North Africa, and the high demand for Omani books at the exhibition, the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion includes a carefully selected list of various publications, including: historical, literary, linguistic, medical, cultural, jurisprudential, media and tourism.
The pavilion is provided with new and varied publications, which are coordinated in cooperation with various other government units in the Sultanate of Oman, in order to further introduce them, as well as private cultural institutions, thus providing the requirements that readers of all ages and intellectual orientations are looking for.
This participation is also an activation of cultural cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and Morocco, a highlight of intellectual and literary production, and a promotion of cultural and professional exchange in the fields of authorship, publishing, and what is related to printing and book-making.
