Oman participates in 34th Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union conference in Baghdad

Baghdad: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by a delegation from the Council of Oman, participated in the 34th conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union, which was held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, under the title “Arab support for strengthening Iraq’s stability and sovereignty.”

The conference discussed in its agenda the president’s report on the activities of the Executive Committee since the 32nd and 33rd emergency conferences of the federation, and the report of the Secretary-General on the conditions of the federation through the implementation of the decisions of the two previous conferences and the activities and work of the federation’s general secretariat.

The delegation of the Council of Oman was headed by His Excellency Khalid bin Hilal Al-Ma’awali, Speaker of the Shura Council, with the membership of the honorable Badria bint Ibrahim Al-Shehiya, Vice-President of the State Council, and Their Excellencies the Secretaries of the State and Shura Councils, and the honored and Excellencies members of the Council of Oman.

In the closing statement of the conference, the participants stressed the importance of restoring the momentum of the values ​​of solidarity, cohesion and solidarity among the Arab peoples, and strengthening cooperation and coordination to put a final end to the scourge of terrorism that crosses borders and continents.
