Oman participates in 44th OCA General Assembly in India

New Delhi: Represented by Oman Olympic Committee, the Sultanate of Oman took part in the 44th general assembly meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), held in New Delhi today.

The meeting was attended by representatives of 45 national Olympic committees in the Asian continent affiliated to the OCA. During the meeting, Randhir Singh was announced as the President of the Olympic Council of Asia — being the only candidate who contested the position.

The OCA general assembly is entrusted with electing Vice-Presidents of the Olympic Council of Asia for the continent’s five geographical regions of: East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, and West Asia. The meeting saw the presentation of reports and visual displays on the latest preparations for the upcoming Asian Games.

The tournaments include the “Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (Riyadh 2025)”, the “9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China (February 2025)”, the “Asian Youth Games in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (2025)” and the “20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan in 2026”.
