Oman participates in 47th Kuwait International Book Fair

Kuwait: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the Ministry of Information and a number of Omani publishing houses, is participating in the Kuwait International Book Fair 2024, which began today and will continue until November 30.

This participation comes within the framework of exchanging participation in book fairs in both brotherly countries and consolidating aspects of existing cultural relations, and activating the Omani presence in international book fairs to follow up on achieving the objectives, the most important of which is advertising and introducing the Omani book and highlighting the intellectual, literary and historical aspect of the Sultanate of Oman.

Through this participation, the Sultanate of Oman aims to shed light on its cultural and intellectual projects to support and highlight Omani books and facilitate access to them through these exhibitions for researchers and interested parties to benefit from them. It is keen to communicate with readers outside the Sultanate of Oman with the latest Omani publications in various fields of knowledge, and seeks to instill a love of reading and communication with others.

The Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion includes an extensive list of historical, literary, cultural, scientific, jurisprudential and other publications for display at the Kuwait International Book Fair, in an effort to attract the largest number of people interested in Omani thought, culture and books, which are linked to many different cultural issues, and to contribute to spreading culture and thought on a broader level.

It is worth noting that the Kuwait International Book Fair is one of the important exhibitions in which the Sultanate of Oman has been keen to participate, due to the great turnout witnessed by the exhibition from different age groups, cultural and intellectual elites, and cultural, scientific and educational institutions, which in turn maintain their visits to the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion to obtain important books and references in all fields.

The Kuwait International Book Fair is also one of the most important cultural exhibitions concerned with recycling the book publishing and production process, in addition to being classified among the list of important exhibitions on the Arab and international levels.
