Chengdu: The Sultanate of Oman took part in the China-Arab Cooperation Forum’s 7th session on strategic political dialogue. The meetings were held today in Chengdu, China.
Oman’s delegation at the forum was headed by Abdullah Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League. The session was also attended by Nasser Mohammed Al Busaidi, the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China.
During Oman’s speech at the forum, Al Rahbi conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China, along with His Majesty’s appreciation for the efforts made by the president in making the dialogue forum a success.
The meetings touched on a number of issues of common concern on the regional and international arenas. It also reviewed Arab-Chinese cooperation activities scheduled to be held later this year.
The convening of the current session of the dialogue forum coincides with the forthcoming 20th anniversary of establishment of the Arab-Chinese Dialogue Forum.
The success of the forum is credited to concerted action across all sectors, notably in political and economic programmes between Arab countries and the People’s Republic of China. – ONA
