Oman Participates in Arab Parliamentary Union Conference

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Council of Oman, will participate in the 32nd Conference of the Arab Parliamentary Unin, which will begin later today in the Eguptian capital, Cairo.

The 32nd conference comes under the title (Arab Solidarity) with participation of heads of the Arab councils and parliaments, and in the presence of Arab, regional and international organizations as observers in the Union.

The delegation of the Sultanate of Oman in the conference is headed by Khalid Hilal Al Ma’awali, Chairman of Shura Council, with the membership of Sheikh Ahmed Mohammed Al Nadabi, Secretary General of the Shura Council, Dr. Rashid Salim Al Bad, member of the State Council, Salim Ali Al Kaabi, Dr. Hammoud Ahmed Al Yahyai, Ahmed Salim Al Ibrahim, Ahmed Nasser Al Abri, as members of the Shura Council.

The two-day conference will discuss activities of the Executive Committee during the 29th, 30th and 31st conferences, and a report of the Secretary General on the Union, its activities and the implementation of its decisions.
