Oman participates in Basel Tattoo 2023

Basel: Represented by the Royal Court Affairs’ Royal Cavalry and the Royal Guard of Oman, the Sultanate of Oman participated in the opening ceremony in Basel Tattoo 2023 international military music show, which will be held in Basel, Swiss Confederation, from 14 to 22 July.

Oman was invited alongside elite military bands from different countries of the world to present musical formations and performances. Oman’s participation will highlight the musical heritage and traditional cavalry arts.

The male and female musicians of the Royal Cavalry and the Royal Omani Guard played Omani and international music pieces, and presented a variety of musical formations, during which they highlighted the civilizational and cultural heritage of the Sultanate of Oman, and to celebrate the fifty years of Omani-Swiss relations, the male and female musicians formed the fifty number on horseback.

The opening ceremony was attended by a large audience of music lovers from different countries of the world, due to its distinctive variety of musical performances representing different international cultures, which will continue to be presented within the show program until July 22, during two periods, morning and evening.
