Omani Pavilion Opens at Belagro 2026 in Minsk
Minsk: The Sultanate of Oman is participating in the 36th edition of the Belagro International Agricultural and Industrial Exhibition, which opened today in Minsk, Republic of Belarus.
The exhibition, which runs until 6 June 2026, is being held as part of the Belarusian Agricultural and Industrial Week and brings together participants from various countries to showcase developments in agriculture, food industries and related sectors.
The Omani pavilion was inaugurated by Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and head of the Omani delegation, in the presence of Hamoud bin Salim Al Tuwaih, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation and non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus, along with officials and representatives of participating Omani companies.
Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in cooperation with a number of Omani companies operating in the food security sector, the pavilion showcases a variety of Omani food and marine products and highlights investment opportunities available in food production, export services and supply chain activities.
Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), said that Oman’s participation provides an opportunity to benefit from Belarusian expertise and promote Omani products in the Belarusian market.
He noted that the Omani delegation includes 72 participants representing 44 companies and government entities, expressing hope that the event would lead to the signing of agreements and partnerships between Omani and Belarusian companies during the Omani-Belarusian Business Forum.
For his part, Sheikh Shihab bin Hamad Al Balushi, Wali of Dhalkout, said that the exhibition offers a valuable opportunity to learn about Belarus’s experience in food security, food industries and agricultural diversification through the use of modern technologies.
Dr. Abdullah bin Masoud Al Harthy, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus to the Sultanate of Oman, stated that Oman’s participation reflects the commitment of both countries to expanding economic, commercial and investment cooperation across strategic sectors.
Meanwhile, Dr. Masoud bin Sulaiman Al Azri, Director General of Agriculture and Fisheries Marketing and official spokesperson for the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, said that Oman’s participation underscores the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and highlights promising investment opportunities in the Sultanate’s food security sector.
