Oman participates in Executive Council of ALECSO in Tunisia

Tunisia: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Education, participated in the 119th regular session of the Executive Council of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), at the organization’s headquarters in the Tunisian capital, Tunis.

The Sultanate of Oman was represented in this session by Amna bint Salem Al Balushi, Secretary of the Omani National Commission for Education, Culture and Science – member of the Executive Council of ALECSO.

The agenda of the session included the election of the Vice-President of the Council and the rapporteur, the formation of the general committees of the Council and follow-up on the implementation of the decisions of the (26th) session of the General Conference of the organization, and the decisions of the previous session of the Executive Council, in addition to discussing the report of the Director-General of the organization regarding the implementation of the organization’s programs and activities for the year 2022, and educational conditions science and culture in Palestine.

The members of the Executive Board also discussed a report on the international conference on the future of education, culture and science organizations in the 21st century, a report on preparing a draft strategic plan for partnerships and diversifying sources of income for the organization, and a report on preparing a draft plan for strengthening the role of media and marketing for the organization.
