Oman Participates in GCC Environmental Affairs Committee Meeting

Muscat (ONA): The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Environment Authority, today took part in the 24th meeting of the GCC Committee of Ministers Responsible for Environmental Affairs.

The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation was led in the meeting, held via video-conferencing, by Dr. Abdullah Ali Al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority.

The meeting reviewed a memorandum of the GCC Secretariat General on the communique and Riyadh Declaration of the 24th GCC Summit.

The meeting also discussed non-tariff restrictions on environment, the GCC Environment e-Portal and cooperation with the programme of the United National Framework Convention on Climate Change (UFCCC), as well as the proposal study of the Kingdom of Bahrain to reduce plastic pollution.
