Oman Participates in Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) 2024 in Slovenia

Ljubljana: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Education, is currently taking part in the Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence 2024.

The two-day event is organized by Slovenia, under the patronage of the UNESCO.

Oman’s delegation to the forum is led by Majid Said Al Bahri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs.

During the event, Al Bahri reviewed efforts of the Sultanate of Oman in the field of artificial intelligence governance and national initiatives in this field. He also shed light on the most prominent efforts and initiatives of the Ministry of Education in the field of linking artificial intelligence with education, and the ministry’s plans related to artificial intelligence through the Executive Programme for Artificial Intelligence in School Education.

In the 1st day of the forum, high-level decision-makers, industry leaders, representatives of scientific and research institutions, and non-government organizations will share their insights and good practices about the governance of AI at global, regional and national levels. – ONA
