Oman Joins Talks on Future Strategy of International Dates Council
Muscat: Represented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, the Sultanate of Oman participated in the extraordinary meeting of the Board of the International Dates Council (IDC), which convened its 6th session via videoconference today.
Oman was represented at the meeting by Ahmed Nasser Al Bakri, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Agriculture.
The meeting discussed several key topics, including the IDC strategy for the period 2026–2030, the proposed organizational structure of the Council, and the development of its visual identity.
Discussions also focused on measures to keep pace with rapid developments in the sector, as well as visions aimed at strengthening the Council’s role at regional and international levels in line with the aspirations of member states.
