Oman participates in Seatrade Cruise Global 2023 exhibition

Florida: Represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, the Sultanate of Oman is currently taking part in Seatrade Cruise Global exhibition being held in the city of Lauderdale, Florida, United States. The expo specializes in the cruise ship sector.

Oman’s participation in the event offers an opportunity to meet leaders of firms operating international cruise ships and decision makers. The expo sees a large turnout of CEOs, service providers of cruise ships and yachts, representatives of governments and tourism companies and international media agencies.

In Oman and other countries in the region, the cruise ships’ season coincides with the winter season and it lasts from October to the end of April, the time when Omani hubs turn abuzz with activity. These include Sultan Qaboos Tourist Port, Salalah Port and Khasab Port among other stopovers.

As many as 85,092 tourists landed at Sultan Qaboos Tourist Port, Salalah Port and Khasab Port in 2022, with an average rate of 77 visits. This year (2023), a total of 100,000 tourists are expected to arrive onboard cruise ships at Omani ports in more than 142 visits. – ONA
