Oman Participates in Seatrade Cruise Global Conference in Miami city

Muscat (ONA): The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, will conclude tomorrow, (Thursday) its participation at the Seatrade Cruise Global Conference being held in Miami city in the United States of America (USA).

Through this participation, the ministry seeks to attract cruise ships to dock in various parts of the Sultanate of Oman and to benefit from the presence of this category of tourists by organizing trips and tourism programmes for various destinations.

The Oman’s delegation taking part in the conference includes representatives of Omani companies specializing with the sector. The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism oversees the global ship tourism sector in cooperation with partners, relevant government and private institutions, and shipping and tourism agents.

The annual Seatrade Cruise Global four-day conference and three-day exhibition is the world’s largest gathering in the cruise industry. It gives a chance for buyers and suppliers, and high-level executives to get together to see the latest offerings from entertainment, safety and security, shipbuilding and move. As well as the exhibition, there are keynote talks by chief executives of the leading cruise organizations worldwide.

The Sultanate of Oman’s participation comes with the aim of strengthening relations with international companies operating cruise ships, coinciding with the return of the tourism movement to recovery from the repercussions of the pandemic as the event explores opportunities for cooperation with new operators in the field.
