    • Oman participates in ‘Voice of Global South summit’

    Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman participated in the Voice of Global South summit meeting hosted by the Republic of India via video conference this evening, with the participation of the foreign ministers of a number and friendly countries, within the framework of India’s presidency of the G20 and inviting the Sultanate of Oman as a guest of honor this year.

    In his speech, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of international cooperation with regard to the concept of social justice in order to secure well-being for all, by exchanging views on best practices on important issues such as food and water security, development cooperation and giving priority to the needs of the most vulnerable groups in societies.

    His Excellency also highlighted the efforts of the Sultanate of Oman in developing a comprehensive social protection system in line with Oman Vision 2040 and its national priorities.
