OPES, OSW 2026 Kicks of Tomorrow at OCEC

Muscat:  The Oman Petroleum and Energy Show and Oman Sustainability Week 2026 will begin on Monday at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre and continue for three days.

The events will bring together government entities, international energy companies, decision-makers, investors, experts, innovators and specialists in sustainability and energy sectors.

The exhibition and sustainability week reflect the Sultanate of Oman’s commitment to balancing energy security, industrial growth, environmental protection and long-term sustainability goals.

Holding both events at one venue aims to strengthen integration and cooperation between the energy and sustainability sectors and reinforce Oman’s position as a regional hub for dialogue, innovation and investment in future industries.

Oman Sustainability Week 2026 is being held under the theme “Sustainability in Action: Innovation, Investment, Impact”, highlighting the importance of translating sustainability goals into practical outcomes through collaboration, technology and strategic investment.

Meanwhile, the Oman Petroleum and Energy Show 2026 is being organised under the theme “Success Through Collaboration: Achieving a Sustainable Energy Future”, focusing on the role of partnerships, innovation and industrial integration in addressing global developments in the energy sector.

The programme includes conferences, accredited professional sessions, roundtable meetings, technical workshops, investor networking forums and field visits aimed at promoting knowledge exchange, strengthening strategic partnerships and creating business opportunities at regional and international levels.

Conference sessions will discuss several topics including energy security, carbon emission reduction, liquefied natural gas, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, environmental, social and governance standards, circular economy, future mobility, biodiversity and climate resilience.

The discussions will feature the participation of government officials, chief executive officers, technology leaders and sustainability specialists.

Strategic meetings involving senior executives and decision-makers will also address innovation and digital transformation, production growth, carbon competitiveness, cost optimisation, green financing and clean technology marketing.

One of the main events during Oman Sustainability Week 2026 is the International Resources and Technology for Sustainability Conference, which will focus on renewable energy, hydrogen, water security, biodiversity, circular economy strategies and sustainable investment pathways.

The Society of Petroleum Engineers conference, organised as part of the exhibition, will showcase developments in upstream operations, enhanced recovery technologies, carbon capture, utilisation and storage, process efficiency, digital transformation and integrated energy systems.

The event will also feature displays of electric vehicles and future mobility solutions, in addition to field visits highlighting renewable energy projects, circular economy initiatives and smart infrastructure developments across the Sultanate of Oman.
