Families Relocated, 93 People Sheltered as Weather Hits Oman
Muscat: The Relief and Shelter Sector of the National Committee for Emergency Management confirmed that 93 individuals have been accommodated in shelter facilities across several governorates affected by the ongoing low-pressure weather system.
In Musandam Governorate, a shelter centre was activated in Khasab, hosting 23 individuals from the village of Qada.
In South Al Batinah Governorate, a family of five from Barka was relocated to hotel accommodation after their home was affected, while in Muscat Governorate, another family of four was similarly relocated due to housing damage.
Meanwhile, the shelter centre in the Wilayat of Adam in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate remains operational, currently accommodating 61 individuals as a precautionary measure.
Authorities affirmed their continued readiness to respond to developments, noting that coordination is ongoing with relevant entities to ensure public safety.
