Muscat: Oman has ranked 32nd globally in the strongest passports in the World for investment opportunities, according to a new index by investment migration consultancy firm Global Citizen Solutions.
The Omani passport came in 32nd globally, obtaining 64.1 points, and was ranked with the passports of the Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain as the strongest passports in terms of investment opportunities.
The report said that passports in advanced ranks enable their holders to conduct business freely, enjoy advantageous tax plans, and for those seeking second citizenship, an investor-friendly passport is a viable option for those looking to protect their financial freedoms.
The classification determines the attractiveness of the passport for investment opportunities abroad and conducting business freely, with passports considered in the first ranks most suitable for investors to protect their financial freedoms abroad.
Singapore topped the index, followed by Hong Kong, followed by the United States, while Chad came at the end of the rankings, followed by Haiti.
