Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman was ranked 4th cheapest Arab country in meat prices for the month of March 2022, in a new index issued by the Global Products Prices website.
The average price of a kilo of beef in the Sultanate was $9.79, and the Arab came after Saudi Arabia, where the price was $9.32, Bahrain at $9.34, and the UAE at $9.67.
Meat prices in Morocco and Egypt were the highest in the Arab world, with an average of $14.67 and $12.53, respectively.
South Korea recorded the highest meat prices in the world, with an average of $73.92 per kilo, followed by Hong Kong, Switzerland and Norway.
Paraguay recorded the lowest meat prices in the world, with an average of $4.18 per kilo, followed by Cameroon and Pakistan.
