Sharjah: The “National Program for Youth Skills Development” won the award for the best initiative to influence future generations within the Sharjah Government Communication Awards presented by the International Center for Government Communication of the Media Office of the Government of the Emirate of Sharjah.
This award was announced at the closing ceremony of the 11th edition of the International Forum for Government Communication, which was held in the Emirate of Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council.
Kawthar bint Abdullah Al Mahrouqi, supervisor of the National Program for Youth Skills Development, who represented the program team members, received the award.
Al-Mahrooqiah explained that this award reflects the level reached by the program, and that its impact extended to the national level and was not limited to the beneficiaries directly.
This award is dedicated to entities that actively contribute to initiatives or activities based on the objectives of government communication and contribute to educating future generations about vital issues and involving them in them.
The National Program for Youth Skills Development has benefited more than 60,000 young men and women, aged between 15 and 29, from all governorates of the Sultanate since its launch in 2018.
The program sought to qualify the participants on the ethics, skills and knowledge of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and advanced technologies, harnessing e-learning tools for this, in addition to the accompanying activities of workshops and technical races, sending participants to the best international universities in the field of technology, and enabling them to enter the world of entrepreneurship.
The program was distinguished by its success in covering both technical and behavioral topics, using modern technology tools and in both Arabic and English, in cooperation with educational and development institutions that top specialized international classifications to provide the latest scientific and technical approaches and practices in the world, and in cooperation with a number of leading Omani institutions that have influenced experiences.
