Muscat: Oman records 41 Covid deaths, highest 1-day toll

The Ministry of Health on Tuesday announced the registration of 2,037 new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid 19), including 1,185 Omanis, and 852 non-Omanis, bringing the total number of cases registered in the Sultanate to 240,708 cases.

Also, 41 new deaths from the Corona virus (Covid 19) were recorded, bringing the total deaths to 2782 cases.

The number of people recovered within 24 hours reached 1,079, bringing the total number of people recovering from the Corona virus in the Sultanate to 221,250, the recovery rate at 87.9%.

The number of inpatients during the past 24 hours reached 209, bringing the total of inpatients to 1,517, of whom 443 are in intensive care.

The Ministry called on all citizens and residents to constantly clean hands with soap and water, avoid touching the face, nose, mouth and eyes, follow healthy habits when sneezing and coughing, and fully adhere to the instructions for social and physical distancing issued by the Supreme Committee and the Ministry of Health.
