Oman records more deaths in Men than women from Covid- 19: MOH Tarassud app

Muscat: The figures published in the Ministry of Health’s “Tarassud +” application, indicated that the total number of new cases of the new Corona virus (Covid 19) in the Sultanate stands at 176,668 cases.

And the numbers published in the “Tarassud +” application indicate that the total deaths in the Sultanate at 1821 deaths, and the number of deaths among Omanis out of the total 1,309 deaths, while the number of deaths for non-Omanis reached 512 deaths, and deaths among males reached 1,303 deaths, While among females, 518 deaths were reported.

And the Ministry indicated that the number of  Covid cases among males is higher than that of females, as the number of males infected with the virus in the Sultanate reached 124,917 cases, while the number of infections among females reached 51,751.

The figures published on the “Tarassud+” application stated that the number of Covid cases by nationality amounts to 100,152 cases for Omanis, and 76,516 cases for non-Omanis.

And the application revealed that the number of cases according to age was as follows:

0-4 years: 4,552 cases.

5-14 years: 3642 cases.

15-59 years: 157,382 cases.

60+ years: 11,092 cases.

The figures published in the Ministry of Health’s “Tarassud +” application, which revealed that the most recorded infections of the emerging “Corona” virus (Covid 19) in the Sultanate, in the Governorate of Muscat, stands to 88,862.
