Oman Refinery Output Rises 11.1% by February 2026

Diesel, Jet Fuel Drive 11.1% Rise in Oman Refinery Output

Muscat:  Total refinery output in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 11.1 percent by the end of February 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, according to preliminary data issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The data indicated that car fuel production rose by 10.8 percent in February 2026 compared to January of the same year.

Production of regular (91) gasoline increased by 10.3 percent to reach 2.97 million barrels by the end of February 2026, compared to 2.69 million barrels during the same period in 2025. Sales declined by 0.8 percent to 2.53 million barrels, while exports fell by 26.7 percent to 415,400 barrels.

Premium (95) gasoline production rose by 11.4 percent to reach 2.51 million barrels, compared to 2.25 million barrels in the same period of 2025. Sales increased by 6.2 percent to 2.34 million barrels.

Diesel (gas oil) production recorded a 16.5 percent increase to reach 12.91 million barrels, compared to 11.08 million barrels. Sales rose by 4.5 percent to 2.95 million barrels, while exports increased by 24.3 percent to 10.68 million barrels.

Jet fuel production grew by 13 percent to reach 4.91 million barrels, compared to 4.34 million barrels during the same period in 2025. Sales rose by 16.2 percent to 758,100 barrels, while exports increased by 11.9 percent to 4.07 million barrels.

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production rose by 11.4 percent to 2.02 million barrels, compared to 1.81 million barrels. Sales increased by 10.6 percent to 694,800 barrels, while exports grew by 23.2 percent to 652,300 barrels.

Naphtha production recorded a 15.4 percent increase to reach 6.54 million barrels, compared to 5.66 million barrels in the same period last year. Sales rose by 18.6 percent to 2.44 million barrels, while exports increased by 4.7 percent to 4.37 million barrels.

Meanwhile, production of other refinery products declined by 3.2 percent to 6.15 million barrels. Sales fell by 10.7 percent to 5.02 million barrels, while exports increased by 23.8 percent to 2.41 million barrels.

In the petrochemicals sector, gasoline production rose to 32,300 metric tons, compared to 28,700 metric tons during the same period in 2025, while exports increased by 10.7 percent to 28,000 metric tons.

Paraxylene production reached 100,400 metric tons, compared to 89,400 metric tons, while exports declined by 12 percent to 10,000 metric tons.

Polypropylene production decreased by 9.2 percent to 49,500 metric tons, while sales increased by 47.2 percent to 5,300 metric tons and exports rose by 6.9 percent to 41,900 metric tons.
