Muscat: Statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information indicated that the total electricity production in the Sultanate of Oman until the end of November 2022 increased by 1.6 percent, to reach 39,81.9 gigawatts per hour, compared to 38,483.5 gigawatts per hour. The Dhofar Governorate recorded an increase in total electricity production by 9.0 percent, to reach 3,934.7 gigawatts per hour until the end of November 2022 , compared to the same period in 2021. to 25 thousand and 456.2 gigawatts per hour.

As for the Sultanate of Oman’s net production of electricity until the end of November 2022, which includes purchases by the Oman Power and Water Procurement Company and purchases by the Rural Areas Electricity Company, by region, it amounted to 37,833.2 GWh, an increase of 2.0 percent compared to the same period in 2021.

The largest amount of net electricity production came in the Governorate of Dhofar, amounting to 3 thousand and 753.1 gigawatts per hour, with an increase of 9.5 percent. The governorates of North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah and Al Dhahirah recorded an increase in net electricity production by 5.9 percent to reach 24 thousand and 602.6. gigawatts per hour.

The statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information indicated that the amount of water produced in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 5.1 percent to reach 469 million and 658.4 thousand cubic meters until the end of November 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, during which the amount of water produced amounted to 446 million and 893 thousand. cubic meters, and each of the governorates of Dhofar and Muscat recorded an increase in water production by 9.2 percent and 7.1 percent, respectively, compared to the same period in 2021.
