Oman sees over 45 Billion Cubic Meters of Natural Gas Domestic Production, Import

Oman’s local production and import of natural gas rises 4.4%

Muscat: The total local production and import of natural gas reached 45.935 billion cubic meters by the end of October 2023, an increase of 4.4 percent compared to 43.207 billion cubic meters during the same period in 2022.

Statistics showed that industrial projects accounted for 58.3 percent of the use of natural gas in the Sultanate of Oman by the end of last October 2023. The industrial projects uses reached 26.317 billion cubic meters.

The total use of natural gas for each of the oil fields reached 11 billion 243 million 500 thousand cubic meters, the power generation stations 7 billion 312 million 700 thousand cubic meters, and the industrial areas 219 million 500 thousand cubic meters.

It is noteworthy that the non-associated production of natural gas, including imports, amounted to 35 billion 934 million 900 thousand cubic meters, while the associated production amounted to 9 billion 158 million 600 thousand cubic meters.
