Oman sees rise in water and electricity production until October 2022

Muscat: Statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information indicated that the total electricity production in the Sultanate of Oman until the end of October 2022 increased by 1.4 percent, to reach 35,961.6 GWh, compared to 35,460.1 GWh in The time is in the same period in 2021 .

As for the Sultanate of Oman’s net production of electricity until the end of October 2022, which includes purchases by the Oman Power and Water Procurement Company and purchases by the Rural Areas Electricity Company, by region, it amounted to 34,811.2 gigawatts per hour, an increase of 1.4 percent, compared to 34,338.5 gigawatts. per hour during the same period in 2021.

On the other hand, the total amount of water produced in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 5 percent, to reach 427,797.9 cubic meters until the end of last October, compared to the same period in 2021.

The governorates of Dhofar and Muscat recorded an increase in water production by 9.2 percent and 6.9 percent, respectively, compared to the same period in 2021.
