Oman signs mutual visa waiver agreement with Poland

Warsaw: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Poland today held the 3rd round of the political consultations in the capital Warsaw.

Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs chaired the Omani side, whilst Pavel Yablonsky, Deputy Foreign Minister chaired the Polish side.

The session discussed bilateral relations and means of promoting them in various areas.

The two sides also exchanged views on a set of regional and international issues.

At the end of the session, the two sides signed an agreement on mutual visa waiver for holders of diplomatic, special and service passports.

The step comes within the context of enhancing the relations between Oman and Poland.

The round of consultations was attended from the Omani side by Munthir Mahfoudh Al Manthri, Head of the Europe Department and officials at the Foreign Ministry.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Al Harthy met with Zbigniew Rau, Foreign Minister of Poland, during which the two sides discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries.

He also met with Kamila Król, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and Paweł Kurtasz, Chairman of the Management Board of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.

The meetings explored means of boosting economic and investment cooperation between Oman and Poland. – ONA
