In a statement Ministry of Foreign said: The Ministry of Foreign expresses the Sultanate of Oman’s strong condemnation of the burning of copies of the Holy Qur’an by extremists in Sweden, and its strong condemnation of such acts of provocation to Muslims’ feelings and sanctities and the incitement to violence and hatred
The ministry stressed the need for international efforts to unite to consolidate the values of tolerance, coexistence and respect and to criminalize all acts that promote the ideology of extremism and hatred and offend religions and beliefs.
