Muscat: The 8th round of the political consultation committee between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Sudan was held at the general diwan of the Foreign Ministry here today.
The Omani side was chaired by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, whereas the Sudanese side was chaired by Dafa Allah al-Haj Ali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries in various areas and means of promoting them. The two sides also touched on a set of issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Ali Sulaiman Al Darmaki, Ambassador of Oman to Sudan, Salah Al Din Al Kando, Ambassador of Sudan to Oman and a number of officials from both sides. -ONA
