Muscat: Oman’s Supreme Committee on Friday issues new decisions and extends full lockdown until July 24 at 4 AM.
The Supreme Committee in charge of examining a mechanism for dealing with developments resulting from the spread of the Corona virus issued new decisions:
The Supreme Committee decided to extend the period of closure for commercial activities and to prevent the movement of individuals and vehicles throughout the day during the days of Eid Al-Adha, to end 4 am on Saturday 14 Dhul-Hijjah 1442 – July 24, 2021 .
Earlier, the full lockdown was announced only during three days of Eid Al Adha.
The complete lockdown will start from July 20th to 24th July 2021.
The Supreme Committee decided to remove the Republic of Singapore and Brunei Darussalam from the list of countries from which arrivals are prohibited from entering the territory of the Sultanate, provided that this decision takes effect from 5 pm on Monday 9 Dhu al-Hijjah 1442 AH corresponding to July 19, 2021 .
