Lucerne: Represented by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, the Sultanate of Oman participated in 3rd edition of Oman-Switzerland Business Forum, being held in the city of Lucerne with the objective of enhancing the role of the private sector, achieving economic diversification and financial sustainability and attracting foreign investment.
The forum was organized by Oman-Switzerland Friendship Association and the Advisory Organization for the Swiss Export and Investment Programme in Lucerne.
The forum is held under the theme of “Opportunities for Investment and Cooperation in Renewable Energy, Infrastructure and Tourism”.
In a speech on the occasion, Eng. Khamis Mohammed Al Shamakhi, Transport Undersecretary at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, outlined the business advantages offered by the infrastructure sector in Oman, notably investment opportunities in the field of transport and logistics.
During a workshop on the sidelines of the forum, Eng. Khamis Al Shamakhi spoke about other unique advantages such as Oman’s geographical location, its developing infrastructure, its ports and other facilities. -ONA
