Muscat: Temperatures in the Sultanate of Oman crosses 50 degrees Celsius, Fahud station in Al Dhahran Governorate recorded the highest temperature during last 24 hours, according to the Oman Meteorology
Yesterday, the desert regions witnessed a noticeable rise in maximum temperatures (ranging between the mid-40s and early 50s), the highest in Fahud 50.5 degrees Celsius.
A statement issues online by the Oman Meteorology said: Fahud station recorded 50.5 degrees Celsius as the highest temperature among all the weather stations during the last 24 hours, followed by Hamrat Ad Duru 49.1, Sunaynah 48.5, Ibri 48.4, Maqshin 47.5, Haima 47.0, Jazer 47.0, Izki 46.9 .
