Salalah: Acting in cooperation with the Secretariat General of the Tender Board, Dhofar Municipality has announced three tenders for development projects to expand carriageways that experience traffic jams in the Governorate of Dhofar.
The first project, for the construction of Ittin roundabout tunnel, has been designed to deal with traffic congestions occurring in Ittin Road and 18 November Road.
The second and third projects refer to the dualization of the Sultan Taimour Road and Al Farooq road. The projects, which include the illumination of the two roads, are expected to offer room for future traffic growth.
The projects comprise part of Dhofar Municipality’s strategic plans, which lay emphasis on traffic flow, both to urban areas and tourist destinations (notably during the monsoon or Khareef season).
