Muscat: There is a possibility of the Sultanate of Oman being affected by a trough of a low-pressure system starting from Thursday May 2, according to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
In a statement CAA said: “The latest forecasts and analyses from the National Early Warning Center for Multiple Risks indicate the possibility for a trough of a low pressure system to affect the Sultanate of Oman staring on Thursday the second of May with advection and formation of clouds with chances for rainfall of various intensities.
It is expected to affect the northern governorates of the Sultanate and extend gradually to affect Al Wusat and Dhofar governorates
The meteorological specialists at the National Malti Hazard Early Warning Center are monitoring the expected weather event and will issue any reports when needed”
