Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) issued an weather report during Eid Al Adha 1444 H
In the statement CAA said: “Weather of the Sultanate of Oman is expected to be affected by an upper air trough starting from 28” June to 1% July 2023. Temperature will reduce to be within the range of 35 — 45 degrees Celsius. Clouds advection is expected to begin from Tuesday 27% July 2023 with chances of isolated rain, occasionally thundershowers during Afternoon and evening concentrated over the mountainous areas of governorates of Al Dhahira, Al Dakhylia, South Al Batinah, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, North Al Sharqiya and South Al Sharqiya.
Wednesday and Thursday 28″ — 29″ June 2023:
Isolated thundershowers ranging from 10 to 30 mm may cause wadis flow.
Moderate to fresh winds with speed of 15 to 25 kt.
Sea state will be rough along the coastal areas of Arabian Sea (2.0 – 4.0 meters) and moderate along the coastal areas of Oman Sea (1.5 – 2.0 meters)
Friday and Saturday 30″ June — 1st July 2023:
Isolated thundershowers ranging from 10 to 20 mm.
Moderate to fresh winds with speed of 15 to 20 kt.
Sea state will be rough along the coastal areas of Arabian Sea (2.0 – 4.0 meters).
Civil Aviation Authority advices all to take precautions during rainfall and wadis flow and to check sea state before sailing and follow weather bulletins & reports.
