Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) Branch at the Wilayat of Ibra, will host the NASA Space Apps hackathon next week (7-8 October 2023).
The events will be held in the Wilayat of Bidia, the Governorate of North Al Sharqiyah, in cooperation with NASA. The hackathon will be participated by public and private establishments, as well as universities and colleges in Oman. As many as 185 countries will be taking part in the event.
The hackathon is catered for innovators who are in interested in space science and exploration. The participants will get a chance to develop creative solutions for different challenges that face the earth and space, in order to get qualified to participate in the International Hackathon.
The Sultanate of Oman’s hosting of this event aims to enhance its position as a centre for technological innovation, research and encouraging cooperation between academic and industrial establishments on the local and international arenas.
